In this quick tutorial, we are looking at the managed skills area of the skills and competency system. So let’s take a look at what you see. At the very top, you have an option to search by skill, name, select by specific roles to tags, even filter by importance. And of course, by level you are then able to see the total number of skills you have in your account. And those are divided into advanced, intermediate, and beginner. If you scroll down to the rest of the page, you have the name of the skill, you have the tag or the category, and of course you have the importance. So let’s give you a quick little overview about this. So if you see right here, CSS proficiency, what we’re saying is that this particular skill is located in the tag called technology skills. Speaker 1 (00:51): It, and we have it as fairly important. It has three bars here out of five. Alright, so we can give you that indicator right over there. And then you go over to the user section here and that gives you the number of users that are currently, or the number of users, employees, team members that are currently either have data pertaining to that skill in courses or jts and other tools. Then we go over to the roles. What that shows you is which roles are associated with which skills. So for example, if you see the resilience skill here, you have customer service reps, financial analysts, executive assistant as roles that are relevant for the skill. We come over to the level and this gives you kind of your overall achievement level across your account, right? So it is a contribution and an average based on the contribution of course completions, OGT entries and any manual entries that have contributed to the skills. Speaker 1 (01:54): And you can click on these numbers here to basically get additional information. You can edit the skill. So if you need to change the name of the skill or even change the tags, you might want to add new tags that are more appropriate. You might want to take out tags that are no longer appropriate. You can do that from the edit menu. And then the last, but not least, you see right over here where you can click on the three dots, the ellipses. You then are able to delete the skill. Just know that deletion is final. So be careful about that. The other videos that we are going to produce on the main skill area will touch on how to add an item. And once you add a skill item, what to do to be able to manage it. So for example, if I look at my project management skill here, how do I get users associated with that skill? How do I add users to the skill? How do I add roles to the skill? How do I add courses to the skill? We’ll look at all of those details.
