V5 Plus – How to upload SCORM

Hello and welcome to eLeaP. In this quick tutorial, we want to take you through how to add a SCORM lesson into eLeaP. SCORM is an acronym for Shareable Content Object Reference Model. It is an eLearning standard. You typically create SCORM content using tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, and some other tools. If you do or if you purchase content, they come in SCORM zip files, and you can easily add them into eLeaP. So let’s get started. To add a SCORM lesson, just click on where it says ‘Add SCORM Lesson’ right over there. And what you are going to do is look for that SCORM zip file. It is a zip file. So if you attempt to upload any other file format, for the purpose of this example, I’ll just use a PDF. It’s going to give you this error right here:

IMS Manifest Not Found. Basically, it means that the file you’re attempting to upload is not a true SCORM because it doesn’t contain that. So for the purpose of this, I will upload a regular SCORM file into the system. So this is my SCORM file right here. It’s a zip file. I’ve got a couple of other samples. Actually, let me upload this first. So this is one SCORM file. It basically would create the lesson for you. So you can see right over here. I’m going to go ahead and activate that lesson and then click on it so that you can see it. So this is a very, very simply formatted content. As you can see right here, very, very easy to get into. It’s nice and professionally done. I’ll edit a second type, which is where you can actually have your SCORM contain a quiz.

So again, it’s up to you what you do in terms of uploading SCORM or what the content looks like. It’s exactly up to you. And as you can see, I can add multiple SCORMs to one course. You have that facility in eLeaP. This is another example right here. So again, I believe this has a quiz in it. Yeah, this has a quiz and pretty much there’s a drag and drop.
