User Management & Roles in eLeaP

Overview

Effective user management is the backbone of a successful Learning Management System. In eLeaP, you can organize your team into specific groups and assign distinct roles to ensure the right people have the right level of access.

Understanding User Roles

Admins: The highest level of access. Admins manage the entire system, including sensitive areas like billing, APIs, and organizational settings.
Instructors: Focused on content and training. They can create courses, manage learning paths, and assign training. While they can add users individually, they cannot access billing or system-wide settings.
Trainees: The primary learners in the system. They interact with assigned courses, learning paths, and credentials, and can manage their own On-the-Job Training (OJT).
Supervisors: Oversight-focused roles for specific groups. They can view group reports, perform assessments, and add OJT entries for the users they manage.
Managers: Similar to supervisors but with the added authority to assign existing courses and learning paths to their specific groups.
Coordinators: Designed for delegated content creation. Coordinators can create and assign courses and learning paths, but their authority is limited to their assigned user groups rather than the whole organization.

The Power of User Groups

User groups allow you to create specific collections of users (such as a “Marketing Team”) and assign them to various assets. By assigning a Supervisor, Manager, or Coordinator to a group, you grant them permission to track activity, perform assessments, and run reports for those specific individuals.
