Gamification Leaderboard V5 Plus: View SCORM course (00:00) Hello and welcome to eLeaP. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to add quizzes into your course. For this purpose, I’m using this course here to add quizzes. Click on the quiz SubT tab on the left here, and you would notice that there are no registered questions. We have several ways that you can add questions into a quiz starting with adding from your quiz bank. What is a quiz bank? That is a list of previously created courses. This list is organized by the type of question you can search. You can actually bring up a particular course, you can search by question name here, and you can select the type of question here. And of course the difficulty level here. So this gives you a chance to really narrow down which previous course you want to utilize for creating your new quiz question. So let’s say for this purpose, I’m selecting team building. (01:00) And I have two questions here. So I simply can check the box next to each one and hit add selected. And now those questions have been copied into my current course, as you can see right here. So that’s very, very simple and easy to do, right? The next thing you can do is you can click where it says add new question right over here. And this gives you a chance to pretty much create your own question. So let’s say I want to create a question, what is 20 minus? I don’t know. Eight, two. And then of course you can provide the responses here. Alright, so 18. Let’s see, we can do 16, we can add more options here. Alright, I’m just going to create some trick answers there and then you select the right answer. Alright, if you want to, you can provide feedback here. (01:52) So good job, please review content. So this is just some additional information here. And then hit save questions. So that’s another way that you can add questions. If you notice this is some preps for the next question. And we do have six types of questions. So multiple choice, sequence, essay or short answer, more portrayed, but with an explanation, angle hotspot, which is where you identify a particular spot on an image, and then of course upload the answer. So you get to select the types of questions that you want to create. Alright? And then the last piece or the last type of creating your quiz questions is by importing them into the system. So if you see right over here where it says bulk import, click on that. And that allows you to pretty much create a template that you can then utilize to import your question. So for the purposes of this, I’m going to use an existing template. So I’ll just go right over here and this is the template. And once I import it in here and hit the start import system would analyze the template, make sure everything is in the right order, and (02:58) If it is, you would see the questions imported. So as you can see here, I now have a total of eight questions because I did import, I think about six questions into the system. So this is the first step in creating your quiz. If you notice right here, you can export your questions out and it basically populated PDF file for you. But let’s go to the settings area. So I’ll click right over here to the settings area. Now the settings area allows you to do things like, I’m going to set a timeframe for this quiz. So you have 10 minutes to complete it. The other thing I can do is I can set how many questions I want to use. Typically, the number on the left should be the same or less than the number on the right. So I have eight questions in all. (03:39) I can choose to use all eight, or I can choose to use fewer than eight. So I can say, I’m going to use five questions out of my eight. Alright, then you come to the passing score/percentage. It defaults to points because each question is one single point. So if I select five questions and you need to establish a hundred percent passing criteria, well you just say five points. If you have an option or want to use the percentage option, you can certainly do that. Just select the dropdown and then you basically would stipulate what the percentage is. The number of quiz retries is a neat way for you to ensure that if somebody takes a quiz the first time and for whatever reason they need to improve their score or they just want to retake it because they don’t pass the first time, you get to give them however many choices or chances. (04:27) So I’ll give them two additional chances, then I come over here and I can hide answers after completion. It basically means that the system hides the answer key so people are not going back and telling their friends the answer to question five is this and so on and so forth. So you get to decide that display answers before retry. So as you can see, the quiz tool is really well built and it’s very granular, so feel free to explore all of these options. Last but not least is make sure that you do activate your quiz if you are ready for it to be attached to your course. And the way the system works is it first presents any material that you have in the course via the lessons or content, and then after that it triggers the launch of the quiz session. Alright, so let’s go ahead and click submit here. (05:13) And this is it. We have launched our quiz. It will be part of the course content. As I mentioned, you can always preview your quiz by, excuse me, by clicking on the preview button there, and you would see the different questions that you’ve created and basically how they’re going to flow within the system. Alright? So feel free to explore that option. I want to point something out real quick. So if you do have a course that has already been launched and you have completion data, as in this example of two individuals that have completed a course, they’ve actually passed, you cannot edit the quiz question. You can edit the text of the questions, but you cannot edit the actual quiz. If the right response was an A, you can’t just (05:56) Change to B. The reason is because this is more the users, the key, the answer key to be able to grade future answers from your users. So as you can see here, I’ve got two individuals, they’ve completed the questions here, the test results. So because of that reason, we can’t edit the quiz responses if you will, but we can certainly tweak the answer text. Let me give you an example. What sound does a cat make? As you can see here, we do indicate what your quiz has already been responded to. Right now I can say instead of a cat, I can say a dog, right? I can change that text and of course I can change the text of the responses here. I can’t change the right response. It’s always going to be this one here, but you can certainly change the text. So that’s just something to be aware of. As usual, if you have any questions about this or any other features in the system, please do not hesitate to contact us. — New: Import quiz questions in bulk. See how here.
