Course Settings – Activate/Deactivate Features

Hello and welcome to eLeaP. In this tutorial we want to take you through the activate slash deactivate features option in the course settings menu.

And you get to course settings by basically going into your course at any point, clicking on settings, and you’ll be able to see your course settings. We have several different sections there. We are now on the activate deactivate section of that particular course setting. I’m gonna go ahead and close this menu.

So click on activate, deactivate, and you will have two main sections with a third section in the feedback option.

If you do activate the feedback form and save, what would happen is you’ll now see on your left menu a feedback tab, watch as I close that feedback option save, and you would see that that part is gone. Alright? So if you want to have a feedback form as part of your course, simply toggle that to the own position and save. And you’ll see the feedback option show up under the engaged section.

Now, note that this simply activates the feedback form. It doesn’t actually create fields. You’ll be able to create your fields there, activate them and set all of those rules for your actual feedback form.

Let’s go back to the activate deactivate option. The second thing you can do is you can toggle this make feedback required option on. And what that does is it ensures that the feedback form submission is part of your completion requirements for the course. In other words, if the learner does not submit the feedback form, they will not get a completion for that course. So simply feel free to toggle that on or off as your needs change.

Alright, and then the third option here is the discussion. So if you again, toggle that to the on position and hit save, you’ll see that under the Engage area you’ll see the discuss section show up here. What that does is it allows people to be able to submit topics of discussion. There could be private or they could be public, alright?

So that is the option there to be able to toggle the feedback form as well as the discussion option.

So let me go back to the course settings, clicking on that and go back to activate, deactivate, and you simply activate this, activate that, and if you are satisfied with what it looks like in terms of those features being activated, simply hit the save features option and the system will lock that in.

If you wanna revert it, just go back to that section of the course settings, activate, deactivate, and turn those off. Don’t forget to save and that should take care of it.
