Trainee OJT Records System quick tour Gamification Leaderboard View SCORM course Hello and welcome to eLeaP. In this quick tutorial, we are looking at the credentials area and how to manage your credentials. In this example, I do not have any credentials added, so I’ll click right here to add a credential. Note that eLeaP has two types of credentials, a license credential and certification credentials. There’s a difference in the two. Licenses are typically managed and certified by states. So for example, if I am an occupational therapist and I need to have my license managed, I will need to supply the state. I’ll need to also include how many credits I need for my renewal, right? I’m just going to make up a number here. And most importantly, of course, I also need to indicate how open this licenses or when it’s valid for, typically it’s two years. So of course I’ve selected Alabama as the state, and this is two years. So I’ll go ahead and select that, and then I’ll click save. So I’ve just created an occupational therapist license for the state of Alabama for my occupational therapist license. And of course, as you see, I have two credits that I need to be able to earn credits for until it renews. Now, here’s how it works in terms of what happens next. Well, what happens next is if your account is in eLeaP and your organization has content that you can take to earn credit, you’ll be able to do that. So lemme just go to my courses tab here and showcase a few examples of that. I’m going to go to my self-enrollment courses to make my point. Now, in the self-enrollment area, I want you to pay attention to courses that have the CEU designation. What that means is that these courses, when you attempt to start them, they will ask if you want to use these courses for certification purposes, for license renewal purposes. And so if you finish that, of course they will award certificates or credits towards that license. So let’s give it a try. So I’m going to click on this particular course, and as you see here, it says, which license do you want to manage? I’m going to select my occupational therapist, and I’ll say, yes, go ahead and start a course to manage this particular course. So now that I’ve enrolled in this, once I complete this particular course, guess what happens? We’ll get two credits, if you will, towards that particular course, towards that particular license. Okay? I believe this is rains, and I will go ahead and click on that and complete that. And I believe I am done. Okay, I am done. So now let’s go to my credentials and see what happens. Has anything changed? So I’ll go to my credentials and guess what? It has given me my two credits that I just earned from completing that course. Now I still need two more credits to complete my renewal, and this is where the import credits comes in. One way to do this is if let’s say you have gone to a CEU provider to complete a course and you have earned say, I’m just going to use this as an example, you have earned the additional two points, right? First off, you would have to indicate, the credential provider. I’m making something up here, and this is the course that I’ve completed, and it gave me, let’s say two credits. Okay? And this is a CEU. And what date was it? Well, I took this 1st of July. And of course, if you have a certification validation URL, go ahead and put it in there. If let’s say you earned a certificate, a physical certificate, PDF certificate or whatever, go ahead and attach that and then hit import. Please note that we don’t control what you do externally, so we can’t verify that this is indeed the case. Of course, your administrator can check this to make sure. And as you can see here, because I have now earned my four credits, my status for this particular credential is now completed. And of course, when time comes for renewal, I can simply hit my renew button here and I’ll be able to renew it for another two years. Similarly, if you wanted to have another type of credential, like a certification, let’s say you took a Google certification course, or an Adobe Certification course, you are able to utilize this to track those particular certifications.
