Hello and welcome to eLeaP. In this quick overview, we want to introduce you to the skills and competencies module. It is an add-on module, so feel free to contact us if you do need this activated. You are able to end the Skills and Competency system actually rename that. So if you wanted to call that something else, you simply go to your settings area here and you can do that. Let’s go back to our skills module. This dashboard gives me a quick command view of the types of skills and competencies that my team has in our organization. I’m able to export out my data, I’m able to add items. I’m able to filter by the various criteria that you see here. You have a horizontal scroll, so as you can see, I can scroll all the way to the right to see all of the additional information.

You also do have a vertical scroll, so I can of course scroll up and down. A few things I want to point out here and some new changes we’ve made to the system. Because of the skills module, we now have the ability to add roles to a user’s profile, and then of course, if you do click on a user’s name from the skills dashboard, you are able to see all of their skills profile at a glance. Some of the other things you can do with the skills module, for example, is to be able to see the associated courses that contribute to those skills to be able to see the associated OJT items. If you don’t know what the OJT tool is, let us know. We’ll be happy to help you with that, as well as being able to add manual entries. So for example, employees and team members go to conferences, attend webinars, and you want to be able to have a system of record for all of those different skills and competencies that have acquired over their employee life cycle.

This is how you are able to do that. The skills module is pretty powerful. It is a comprehensive tool that touches many parts of the system. You are able to set up groups or tags as we call them. Of course, you can set up your skills and competencies here. As we mentioned earlier on, you are able to associate courses with specific skills. So of course if you are in a course in eLeaP, you’re able to go to the setting step there and be able to then use the skills setting to incorporate what kinds of attributions you want to give for completion of that course. When it comes to skills, you’re able to use either a skills-based attribution or a role-based attribution, and that’s stuff that we can explain to you, but this is a great tool to consider enhancing your account with.
