Manager – How to manage Learning Paths

Hello and welcome to eLeaP. In this tutorial, we are looking at the Learning Paths system as a manager.

So I clicked on the Learning Paths main tab, and I see my Learning Paths area. I’ve got several sub tabs here. I can go to the middle sub tab, which is my assigned Learning Paths. So this is me as a user in the system having learning paths that I need to complete. I also have the option to go to my self-enrollment learning paths area where I can enroll in new learning Paths, if that is offered. I’m going to go back to the managed Learning Paths area, and if you notice, we do have the option to filter by name, select the type of path, and show all active or inactive paths.

This list is presorted by learning paths that you are involved in as a manager, and so if you want to see the rest of the learning paths, you certainly can click on this link here.

For the purposes of this, I will simply click on this GMP Series Learning path. It has three courses in it. It has been assigned to three of my managed users, and I can put my cursor over the progress area of each of these users to get details pertaining to where they are. For example, I can see that Bill here has completed section one and three of the courses in this learning path.

If I want to go and get details, I simply click on the link here and that takes me into the specifics or the specific courses, and I can get more details over there. I’ll go back to my learning path, and this time I am going to go back to my learning path tab there, and if I wanted to assign trainings to my users, let’s say, this Innovations in Biotherapeutics, I want to assign new users to this path, I have two options. I can go to where it says Assigned users, and I’ll bring up my list of managed users.

Now, note that this is only going to be users that you manage, not the entire list. I’ll simply select the checkbox and then I’ll click the add selected. I’ll confirm and now they have access to this learning path. Similarly, I can go to the assigned user groups area, and I can click on the assigned new user groups and I’ll be able to assign it to groups that I manage.

Again, you would only see groups that you manage listed here, so you simply check the box for the group, click add selected. You will need to confirm the action, and now all members of that group will have access to this learning path.
