Instead of an email and password, these users log in with a username and a one-time SMS code sent to their phone. How It Works for the User On the login screen, the user enters their username, then requests and enters the SMS code they receive on their phone. This replaces the standard email-and-password login entirely for that user. Setting Up Phone User Access 1. Contact eLeaP Support to have Phone User Access provisioned on your account. 2. Once provisioned, open the user’s profile and switch the login method to Phone Number. 3. Enter the user’s phone number and the username they’ll use to log in, then submit. What Happens Next eLeaP sends the user a text message via the U.S.-based SMS system with their login details. Users logging in this way should check their phone for text messages, which will also include notifications for course assignments, deadlines, and reminders, along with a link to log in.
