Trainee OJT Records System quick tour Gamification Leaderboard View SCORM course Hello and welcome to eLeaP. In this tutorial, we are looking at how to upload popular file formats like PDF, Word documents, and other formats that are easy to share and how to do that in the system. It is quite easy. First things first. I am going to go to my courses tab there, and then I am going to use an existing course. I will click on the edit option right here, and that opens up my course in the edit format. Now I am going to add in a new lesson, so I’ll click right here and click add new lesson and I’ll title it and click the add lesson button here. And now I have my new lesson added. Next, I will click the edit button or link right here. And I have two ways that I can import or upload files. If I want the file to be embedded and prevent people from downloading a version of the file or a copy of the file, I can use this option right here where I’ll click choose file. And essentially what I’ll do is I’ll look for files that I can upload. So let’s say this file right here, click on it and it would upload a file. And the next thing I’ll do is right here where it says embed, I’ll go ahead and click the embed toggle on and the system is going to process the file for it to be displayed within the lesson. Now, something to note, you see this icon right here, it is in the form of a cloud that has an arrow in it. It is for you to either allow for file downloading or to disallow for file downloading. So if I click the little icon here, it grays it out and prevents this file from being downloaded. Let’s take a look at a lesson that already has content uploaded and embedded. So I’ll go ahead and click on this right here. Upload and embed. And this is how it looks when you have it embedded. See that? And again, like I was mentioning, if I click the blue icon here and turn it gray, then the file will no longer be downloadable. It would only be visible. Clients in life sciences and other highly regulated industries might find this particular version useful for them. Alright, let’s go back into the last lesson, upload popular formats. And I’m going to go back to my edit button here. And this time what I’m going to do is I’m actually going to go over to file right here and I’m going to click where it says Import from Word. And again, I am looking at my word documents and I’ll bring up this file here. Actually, I’ll bring the next file. I’ll click on the file. This time, however, it’s not being uploaded here. It is being imported directly into the editor. This is another way that you can get your materials into the system. You can go to file and import and it will import it from Word directly into the system. Don’t forget to save once you have it imported or make whatever changes that you want to make and the material will be there for you. Alright, if you click preview, you’ll be able to see how this file or course would look like. This is the text that was imported and towards the bottom I believe we should have our imported file that was now embedded over here. So we have two different formats here. Just to show you.
