In this tutorial, we will be taking a look at creating a preset navigation training path. Well, what’s a preset navigation training path? This is a training path that contains courses that need to be completed sequentially. You cannot skip from course one to course five in the series. You literally have to grow through them sequentially. If I want to, I can enforce additional rules such as you have to pass a quiz from course one to be able to go to course two not just [00:00:30] viewing the material. Okay, so to create a preset navigation training pet, excuse me, click on the training path name and I’m going to say this, this, um, safety series, uh, courses, uh, training path. All right, I can add a description. I’ll leave it. Um, and of course I’m going to select, the most important thing is select the type, which is preset navigation, click add training path. And now I’m going to go ahead and add my training path courses. Now notice that I don’t have any courses here. I can use a managed training and path option or I can use the add new course we’ll see here. So I’m gonna click on that real quick. Uh, and I’m going to use the insert date instead cause I have some courses that I have already created here that I can easily insert in the series. By the way, you can also use categories. So if, let’s say your courses were, um, categorized by safety, financial, leadership, what have you, you can certainly select a category and see causes [00:01:30] from that category. So I guess another way to get this job done quickly. Okay. So now I have my series of courses courses, series one, two, three, four. In that order, um, there’s a quiz required option I have not activated. I can certainly do that. Uh, if I want to, I can definitely, um, reorder these courses right here so I can just, you know, take a series one up there, series two, and so on and so forth. I’m going to leave this for now. [00:02:00] And, uh, the other thing I’m gonna do is make sure that I activate my training paths. So let’s go to my training path right here and let’s make sure that I have it activated and right there.. We’ve activated it. That’s good. And then let’s see, I have, uh, I think I’m going to probably activate some of these quiz requirements. So let me go here and see if I can activate the quiz requirements here. I can’t activate quiz requirements. Why is that? Well, let’s take a quick look here at a quiz. I’ve got a quiz here. I’m going to make sure that my quiz is actually active. All right? Oh, that’s a problem. I need to activate my quiz. So I have activated my quiz in my series, and now if I go to my training path, I am sure I can activate the quiz. So now you see the option, the quiz option is showing us optional. If I hit the optional button there, it will change to required. Now I’m going to go ahead and assign this course to a user and just give you a look at how this would work for the end user. Okay. Uh, let’s see, who am I going to assign this one to? I think I’m going to assign it to James. Um, and actually just another one, maybe two other people. All right, here we go. So now if you give me a sec, I’ll log into James’s account and I’ll let you know how that turns out. Okay, so here I am in Jim’s account. I’m going to go ahead and refresh my screen. So I want to make sure to have that new training path assigned to me. All right. And let’s see, I have a series of training paths here and there’s one right here. Safety Series. Very good. So as you can see, I’m not allowed to go to the second in the series. I can even click on it, right? Because, well, I have to complete it sequentially. So I’ll have to essentially complete this first course. Take my quiz if I pass then, and only then am I allowed to go to that next in the series. So that’s important because that allows you to enforce some of these rules that you’ve, uh, you’ve created to ensure that, you know, of course, the, there, the courses going to be completed in exactly the order that you want. So for example, I need to move this up submit that. Uh, let’s see. Well, it’s going to be graded. So let me go back to my training path. All right. Safety series and now I can go to the next in the series. So that’s important. I could not have done that without completing that, that very important steps. So this has been a quick overview of the preset navigation training g path. And feel free to check out the videos, ask us questions if you have any that come up. Thank you.
