May 2014 E-learning Survey Results

Our May 2014 PowerPoint and Spreadsheets survey results are in and they are an eye-opener into how organizations utilize tools like PowerPoint, Excel, Spreadsheets, LMS’s in conducting training. We continue to be surprised at the number of respondents who do not track their training efforts but are encouraged that companies are putting forth creative ideas to engage their staff and employees in training activities.

Out of 112 responses, we had some interesting results. Take a look:

69% had someone in charge of training

71% use PowerPoint for training

A majority (52%) deployed PowerPoint via classroom training

A solid majority 65% use spreadsheets (Excel) to track training

A significant majority 83% manually entered data into spreadsheets to track training

Only 27% thought their training was very effective
