Everyone deserves to focus on their health and wellness, and we could use some support in certain areas to help balance the demands of work and feeling good. Part of an issue brief from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) explains how mental illnesses, such as depression, are associated with higher rates of disability and unemployment. Only 57% of employees who report moderate depression and 40% of those who report severe depression receive treatment to control depression symptoms. Employees owe it to themselves to take care of their overall health, both physical and emotional, and to balance the demands of their job with managing their eating, stress, and overall health outside of work.

This course helps address this complicated balance by discussing work/life balance, the importance of nutrition and consuming plenty of water, and considering the work environment and importance of support networks.

Use this course to guide employees in helping them proactively address their overall health and wellness while considering today’s professional environment.
