Bloodborne Pathogens in Heavy Industry

The online video course teaches employees how to prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogens. The online course discusses the risks associated with blood borne pathogens such as HIV, hepatitis B and hepatitis C. The video training illustrates how blood borne pathogens are transmitted and how employees can reduce the potential for infection. This includes following OSHA regulations, getting vaccinated and using the proper personal protective equipment (PPE). By combining engineering controls, good work practices, vaccinations and PPE, we can protect ourselves and others from exposure. This video helps employers and employees prevent dangerous, potentially deadly infections and create a safer and more productive work environment.
