Hello and welcome to eLeaP. Today, we’re going to explore the course deadline system. When you are setting up or editing a course, navigate to the settings area, specifically the General Settings where we’ll focus on the deadline options.
You have several ways to set deadlines. One option is to use a specific date, where you select the exact date the course will expire using a calendar selector. Alternatively, you can set a period of time, such as a number of days or months, which automatically calculates the deadline from the start date.
Once you’ve set the deadline, don’t forget to configure the reminder system. This tool is designed to start reminding participants about the deadline three days before it’s due. If you check the option to continue reminders, it will send daily notifications until the deadline is reached, ensuring participants are well aware and can manage their time to complete the course.
Another critical feature is the ‘Available After Deadline’ option. This setting is particularly useful if you want to allow participants to complete assessments even after the deadline has passed. If this is turned off, once the set period expires, participants will no longer be able to complete the course. However, if it’s turned on, they can finish the course even after the official deadline has passed, offering flexibility, especially in cases where extensions may be necessary.
As always, if you have any questions about setting course deadlines, the reminder system, or any other features in eLeaP, please do not hesitate to contact us.
