Scenario: How can I duplicate a course?
Hello and welcome to eLeaP. In this quick tutorial, we’ll show you how to duplicate courses. The eLeaP system allows you to create copies of your course. It just helps you to reuse your material and to create new content very quickly. To create a duplicate of your course, simply go into the particular course that you want to duplicate, for example, I would like to duplicate this “Student Orientation Training”. And so what you want to do is go over here to that little drop down arrow, click on it, and you should see all options that come up. One of the options that you want is called [Duplicate] right here. So when you click on that system is going to basically ask you to come to confirm that you want to duplicate this. Once you hit, okay, what we do is we create a duplicate copy for you.
You can go ahead and click right here. It takes about three seconds before that warning goes away. And if I click on it, it takes me directly to that duplicate course. Now here’s a cool thing. The duplicated course will show the word duplicate in it. It’s just our way of letting you know that the version that you are looking at is a duplicated course. And so click over on your Course Definitions tab and you can rename that. So you can say something like, step two, you know, three whatever you want. And again, this is a full-fledged duplicated course. It contains the lessons of the previous course. It contains any quizzes that you might have put in there if you have certificates of completion, the whole nine. The cool thing about this is that this allows you to make minor changes or major changes and quickly push out this version of your course if that’s what you want to do.
So again, to duplicate a course, simply look for the down arrow, look for the duplicate tap or link there, click on it, go ahead and confirm the system would basically create a copy for you if you, um, after this tab goes away, this alert goes away. You want to find a duplicate, of course. Just simply click on your courses link and you will see whatever new course has been duplicated listed there. Again, look for the word duplicate and you will see it there. If you have any questions about this or any of the features in the system, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
